Presence changes what  becomes possible

The way we meet ourselves, one another, and the situations before us shapes what we are able to notice, understand, choose, and create.

My presence-based approach begins with a belief in the originality, resourcefulness, creativity, and capacity of every person. Meaningful development grows through thoughtful relational space—space to listen more deeply, question familiar assumptions, reconnect with what you already carry, and choose with greater awareness and intention.

OUR APPROACH

Originality is already present

Originality is inherent in every person—a human capacity that can be recognized, trusted, and more fully expressed.

It encompasses what is distinctly yours: your lived experience, ways of knowing, values, capacities, questions, and voice. These may become difficult to hear amid expectations, responsibilities, familiar patterns, and the influence of others, but they remain part of what you bring.

We are shaped through relationships, histories, cultures, communities, and systems. Honouring originality means meeting each person within that wider context and recognizing the human being beyond any role, problem, label, or assessment result.

My role is to create conditions in which you can encounter yourself more fully, become curious about what may be emerging, and recognize your own capacity to choose.

The invitation is not to become someone else or something more, but to become more fully present to who you are—and more intentional about what you create from there.

What grounds the work

The way we work together matters. Across coaching, mentor coaching, facilitation, and leadership development, four commitments shape the relational space I seek to create.

Meet the whole person

You are more than a role, challenge, goal, or assessment result. Our work makes room for the fullness of your experience—including heart, mind, spirit, and voice.

Work in partnership

I bring experience, curiosity, and professional depth, while you remain the authority on your own experience. We work together in a relationship grounded in trust, respect, and shared inquiry.

Stay with what is emerging

Some of what matters emerges gradually. We create enough space to notice what is unfolding, remain with what is not yet clear, and listen for what may otherwise be missed.

Honour agency and choice

Insight becomes meaningful when it reconnects you with your own capacity to choose. The work supports greater awareness and discernment so that the way forward remains genuinely yours.

The Architecture of Presence™

It is a framework I am developing through Original HMSV Coaching to give shape to how I understand and approach coaching. It explores how presence can expand our capacity to perceive, relate, choose, and act within an increasingly complex and interconnected world. The framework has grown from my coaching philosophy and from recurring patterns I have witnessed in my work—people returning to themselves, relating more deeply to others, and becoming more conscious of how they participate in the wider contexts of their lives.

The framework holds three interconnected domains:

Presence to Self

Presence to Others

Presence to Systems

Remaining present to our own thoughts, emotions, assumptions, embodied experience, and inner knowing.

Meeting others with curiosity and compassion, remaining open to being influenced by what emerges between us while staying grounded in our own experience.

Recognizing the wider relationships, histories, cultures, structures, and patterns that shape—and are shaped by—how we participate.

Across these domains, five movements support a more intentional way of meeting what is before us:

Presence  •  Witness  •  Awareness  •  Discernment  •  Intention

These are not linear steps or a formula to follow. They are dynamic, interconnected movements. We may move among them, return to them, or remain a little longer with what is not yet fully understood.

The quality of our presence shapes how we relate, how we participate, and what we create together.

A conversation is a place to begin

An approach can offer a sense of how I work. A conversation allows us to explore what you are navigating, what matters to you, and whether working together feels like the right fit.

If something here resonates with you, I would be glad to begin there.
